About Oyinda Jaja, B. Pharm – The Pharmacist Behind Clinical Mama

Hi, I’m Oyinda Jaja, a licensed pharmacist (B. Pharm, MSc Health Sciences) practicing in Canada, and the mom of three behind Clinical Mama.

I created this space because I kept seeing the same gap: an overwhelming amount of health information online, but very little of it written by someone with both clinical training and a real family at home. Clinical Mama exists to close that gap, translating evidence-based medicine into calm, practical guidance that women and parents can actually use.

My Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
  • MSc Health Sciences
  • Licensed pharmacist in Canada
  • Clinical experience in medication safety, patient counselling, and evidence-based care

Every post on Clinical Mama is written and reviewed by me personally. Where I reference clinical studies, guidelines, or drug information, sources are cited at the bottom of each post. You can read more about how content is created and reviewed in my [Editorial Policy].

Why I built Clinical Mama

After years of working in healthcare, I noticed that the women who needed reliable health information were the busiest moms, women navigating hormonal changes, and parents trying to dose a sick child at 2 am, who were the ones least served by the clinical resources that existed.

Medical language is often inaccessible. Online advice is often inaccurate. And the space between “ask your doctor” and “Google it” is where most families actually live.

Clinical Mama fills that space. It’s where my training as a pharmacist and my experience as a mother work together, so you get information that is both clinically sound and genuinely useful in real life.

Who This Space Is For

This space is for you if you are:

  • A mom trying to make confident health decisions for your family
  • A woman navigating hormones, labs, or preventive care
  • Anyone who wants pharmacist-backed answers without the overwhelm

You don’t need a medical degree to understand your health. You need someone to explain it clearly. That’s what I’m here for.
